It was kind more of a sci-fi book, but no one knows everything about what is on the moon. The 8 crew members are dying one by one, and the rest of the team uncovers a lot about the history of the moon - including why anyone hasn't been back up to the moon since 1976. But when they get there, they realize that something is wrong. So NASA holds a lottery, and the lucky three will get to go to the moon. 
Then NASA realizes that sending kids up will attract lots of media. If the United States got more of tantalum, they would earn a lot of money. NASA decides that the USA needs more tantalum 73 - a material that is very strong and conducts electricity. Its main purpose was to mine materials rare on Earth - but it was never used! Only the most important government people knew about it until NASA's space lottery. This book mostly takes place on the moon ( in DARLAH 2 ), but some parts took place in New York, France, Norway, and Japan. Midori is somewhat of a scaredy-cat, and freaks out easily. Midori is a really funny character, although sometimes she has a hard time understanding sarcasm, and takes jokes seriously.
Her full name is Midori Yoshida, and her dream is to someday visit New York ( her dream comes true ). However, sometimes he messes up English figures of speech ( and it's hilarious ). He is a funny guy, and makes a lot of jokes and puns. Antoine is great at math, and likes math a lot. He has a stereotypical French accent too. Mia always has a bunch of sarcastic comments and jokes.Īntoine is French. She is in a band with some of her friends.
